Opposition Arguments
The following issues will be used by the media, politicians and others to criticize and condemn our effort to improve the integrity of our election process for the offices of President (popular vote), US Senators and US House of Representatives:
Arguments
1. Requiring personal identification (I.D.) to vote, is racist !!
a). We all know this is not true, the use of personal I.D. in daily life is very common and is not considered racist. The following are a few examples of using personal identification in our daily lives:
i. Cashing a check
ii. Going to a Doctor’s office
iii. Buying alcohol and/or cigarettes
iv. Boarding a commercial airplane
v. Legally entering a foreign country
vi. Giving birth to a baby in a hospital
vii. Registering for school
viii. Entering the US Capital Building
ix. Driving a car – Driver’s License
x. Getting arrested
xi. Getting married
xii. Using your credit card
xiii. And many, many more !!!!!!!
2. Eliminating “Ballot Harvesting” will limit citizens from being able to vote:
a). We all know this is not true for the following reasons:
i. Absentee / mail-in ballots can be requested in advance of “Election Day”
ii. Amendment XXVIII will make our federal “Election Day” a national holiday giving citizens all day to cast their votes
iii. Each State can make provisions to ensure all eligible citizens have available and easy access to voting stations / locations
3. Requiring citizens to vote in person and show personal I.D. is sexist, homophobic, or does not support sexual reaffirming opportunities:
a). We all know this is not true:
i. It is absolutely absurd to even suggest this !!
ii. Any person who uses this argument has a serious case of Fair / Accurate / Timely / Transparent Election Phobia. These people have a serious fear if they cannot control the outcome of their elections that they may not win !!!!
Why Opposition ?
Why would any group or individual oppose making our elections for President (popular vote), U.S. Senators and U.S. House of Representatives more secure? There is only one obvious reason:
1. If our elections are secure, it makes it much more difficult to manipulate the outcome !!!
