Purpose
The election of the President (popular Vote), US Senators and US House of Representatives defines the power base in Washington DC and therefore the polices and laws that impact the daily lives of all Americans regardless of the State they live in. The “Founding Fathers” designed a system of government (Democratic Republic) that represents all Americans equally, at the federal level. It is, therefore, equally important that the election processes and procedures used by all 50 States and the District of Columbia for the offices of President (popular vote), US Senators and US House of Representatives be the same and produce election results that all Americans trust. In order to ensure current and future generations are protected from federal election manipulation and misconduct the Constitution of the United States of America must be amended (refer to the “Overview” tab “Recommended Amendment XXVIII”.
Candidates running for federal offices in the 2024 elections are avoiding certain topics. Election reform is one such topic being avoided by not only the Presidential candidates but it is also being avoided by Senate and Congressional candidates. In addition, many of the major news networks are also avoiding discussions concerning election Integrity and the need for election reform. There is a fear in this country associated with an open discussion concerning election integrity / election reform and yet it is one of the most important issues facing our country today.
The right to vote in a free and fair election is one of our most basic civil rights and is fundamental to maintaining “our” democratic republic for current and future generations. Based on existing/recent election integrity issues, created by our politicians and bureaucrats, we strongly believe that the people (We The People) cannot trust our politicians to be the custodian of our federal election processes and procedures. Therefore, an amendment to the Constitution is warranted to protect the People’s right to free and fair elections. Our federal elections must be protected by the Constitution and not by self-serving politicians and bureaucrats. It is critically important, in preserving our democratic republic, that the results of our elections accurately reflect the will of the people.
The “Vote For America” strategy for “Federal Election Reform” is simple and straight forward:
Start at the federal level. Fix the elections for the President, US Senators and the US House of Representatives first. Many of the fixes associated with federal election reform may trickle down to the state and local levels.
Develop a nationwide nonpartisan initiative. Election integrity should not be a political issue, it should be an American issue. If it becomes a political issue, it will fail !!!
Do not focus of convincing the politicians – remember they are the ones that created this mess. Many politicians have no interest in fixing the election integrity issue – they benefit from it.
Most Important !!!!, convince the people “We The People” that election integrity is in our best interest and it will benefit their children and future generations. “Vote For America” cannot say this enough – “Convince the People” !!!! The politicians will follow if they think it is in their best interest.
Recent poles (since 2022) show the faith Americans have in election integrity has dropped significantly:
January 6, 2022 ABC/Ipos pole found only 20% of the public says it is very confident in the country’s elections
September 19, 2023 (Pew Research Center) has found that public trust in federal government has returned to near record lows, fewer than 20% of Americans say they trust government in Washington to do the right thing “just about always” (1%) or “most of the time” (16%). This is the lowest trust measure in seven decades.
September 19, 2023 (Pew Research Center) Four times as many Americans have unfavorable views of both parties today than they did in 2002 – an all-time high, with Republican and Democrats equally unpopular, the survey found.
A very recent example of our political system trying to manipulate the outcome of our Elections is when three States (Colorado, Maine and Illinois) arbitrarily remove a presidential candidate from their 2024 Primary Election ballots for a crime he had not been tried or convicted of in a court of law. In addition, at least twelve other states were also considering to remove this candidate from their ballots for the same reason used by the three states mentioned above. This particular effort to manipulate the 2024 Presidential Election was stopped on March 4, 2024 by the US Supreme Court in a 9 to 0 vote allowing this candidate to remain on the ballots in all states. This is a victory for all American citizens, the people, “We The People” have the constitutional right to pick our leaders through the “Voting” process, – not individual “States” and not individual “Politicians”.
The Creators of this Web Site recommend that readers perform their own research associated with the level of trust that the American people have in the Federal Government. We believe you will find 50% or more of American citizens have low trust in our government. It is for this reason, that the Constitution be amended to establish the election processes and procedures for the President (popular vote), US Senators and US House of Representatives.
Note: Each State and the District of Columbia shall continue to organize and carry-out the federal elections, in their individual States, following the requirements specified in the new Amendment. In addition, each State and the District of Columbia shall continue to have complete authority and autonomy over their State and local elections.
